My work often begins with students knowing they are spending time with someone who likes them, enjoys them, and is genuinely interested in who they are.

Before deadlines or essays, many students need a person who can listen well, ask questions, recognize how much they already have and have accomplished, and help them make better sense of themselves.

I may serve as a guide, mentor, coach, sounding board, or practical strategist, but much of the work is helping students feel understood, helping them recognize when they are already moving in a good direction, and giving them the encouragement, structure, and occasional push to act when action is needed.

My Perspective

I do not see college applications as separate from personal development.

Students are often told to build résumés, pursue passions, and write compelling essays, often before they fully understand themselves.

In reality, growth is rarely linear.

High school is often a mix of exploration, hesitation, pressure, discovery, false starts, and changing priorities.

My work helps students step back, think clearly, build confidence, and connect their experiences so they can move forward with greater purpose.

Strong applications are often a byproduct of that deeper process.

This is part of why i built the runway

A frame work for helping students connect interest, choices, growth and applications over time.

Beyond Applications

Much of our work extends beyond applications themselves.

Students are often struggling to get things done not because they lack ambition.

More often, they are dealing with hesitation, procrastination, self-doubt, inconsistent habits, pressure, distraction, or uncertainty about how to begin.

Part of my work is helping students build:

  • clearer thinking
  • stronger habits
  • encouragement
  • accountability
  • better ways of managing procrastination and self-doubt

College applications can help students trust themselves more and tackle challenges even when they are unsure of the outcome.

The Runway

A Practical framework for connecting what already

The Runway is the practical framework I use to help students connect classes, summers, activities, interests, and writing over time.

High school rarely unfolds in a straight line.

You try things, drop things, discover new interests, and make choices before fully understanding where they may lead.

That is normal.

The challenge usually comes later, when applications require those experiences to make sense.

The Runway helps students organize what already exists, recognize patterns, and make more thoughtful choices moving forward.

What we do with the Runway?

We take what already exists and look at it side by side:

Classes. Activities. Summers. Interests. Early academic ideas.

From there, we ask:

  • What should continue?
  • What feels disconnected?
  • What may need more depth?
  • What could be added with real purpose?

Over time, patterns become clearer.

Your experiences shape interests.

Your interests influence future choices.

Those choices create new experiences.

Reflection helps you understand what they may mean.

That clarity often becomes the foundation for stronger essays, better applications, and more thoughtful direction.
