Strategic guidance for families who want clarity, structure, and momentum.
Most families come to me for one of three reasons:
- You want to plan ahead.
- You are in the middle of applications and need direction.
- You need focused help with a specific part of the process.
The goal is the same in each case: figure out what matters, decide what needs to be done, and move forward.

IF YOU’RE PLANNING AHEAD (9th–11th Grade)
You want to use high school well without turning it into a checklist.
This is for students and families who want to think earlier, ask better questions, and make decisions that serve them well both now and later.
We work on:
- Identifying genuine interests and building meaningful activities around them
- Planning summers that are useful, realistic, and aligned with growth
- Exploring majors, programs, and schools before application pressure sets in
- Building a college list that reflects priorities, values, and direction
- Understanding how classes, activities, and interests connect over time
The Runway
This is The Runway.
The focus is not on doing more because “others are doing it” but doing things in an order that makes later decisions clearer and your applications more distinct.
IF YOU’RE IN APPLICATION SEASON (11th–12th GRADE)
- If you are a junior or rising senior, you are managing essays, deadlines, and school, often all at once.
- If you are feeling the pressure of it all, structure and accountability can help you complete stronger applications with greater clarity and less stress.
We work on:
- Personal essays (Common App, UC PIQs, scholarships, and other statements)
- Supplemental essays (“Why Us,” “Why Major,” and school-specific responses)
- College research beyond rankings and surface-level assumptions
- Activities List and Additional Information sections
- College list refinement and ED / EA / RD strategy
- Decision-making when everything feels important at once

Submission
- Complete strong work, stay organized, and avoid unnecessary last-minute panic.
- The process feels demanding, but it does not need to feel chaotic.
If You Need Help With One Important Part of the Process
Sometimes you do not need a full program but support in one specific area.

From there, we decide on the right structure:
ongoing support, project-based work, or focused consultation.
